🎙Q. Let's meet you... Tell us just a little about yourself.
"I'm Aninna Jude Chukwuebuka, popularly known as 'Obi Don Grow', from Umuehelete Oshigo Aku in Nsukka, Enugu State Nigeria.
I started singing in the 2018, same year I dropped my first official single 'Ifunaya'.
I'm a recording artist, song writer, and a performer... There's a lot to unfold about me, but you'll know as they unfolds"
🎙Q. 'Obi Don Grow', that's a strong name if you ask me... How did you come about it?
"Haha... The name OBI DON GROW is a title of my song that i dropped in 2011, unofficially.
I started using the name when I found out that since I dropped the song all my fans change my name and start calling me 'Obi Don Grow'
(smiles) Well, fans advice me to move on with it.
They said that the name means alot to life and serves as an encouragement towards maturity and all-round growth".

WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 MUSIC TIPS you'll love to share with your fans...?
"I'll say, Versatility, Smart work and Prayers"

Are we expecting a 2020 collaboration from an A-list Artiste soon...?
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Very soon, By the grace of God... I'll keep that as a surprise package for my fans" (Smiles)

What are the Top 5 artists that you'll love to work with, and why?
"I've got a lot of them in minds, but for the sake of a Top 5, here's my list.
1. Flavour.
I will love to work with flavour, because he is a very good instrumentalist and also a good singer that love singing with his dialect.
People do say I sound like Flavour n'abania.
2. 2baba.
2baba is a prophet, his songs is filled with so much advice and motivations.
3. Davido.
I will appreciate to work with he because he is a nice singer and ready to bang on any giving instrumental.
4. Phyno.
For Phyno, he use his rap lyrics to advice and tell good stories about things going on in the society.
Finally, I'll go for:
5. Burna boy.
Because his songs are filled with motivations".

Talking about your music skills... What's the secret behind your creativity and passionate delivery?
(Smiles)
"Na Papa Nke Igwe nai sure pass! Na Him be the secret.
Prayers, hardwork and constant rehearsals; has also helped me greatly".

Tell us about your latest rave-making single: "PAPA NKE IGWE"
What inspired you in writing that song?
"The song is a Motivational piece, and I thank God it is making waves and has gone far. I also love the face that everyone that comes across it do appreciate it.
I was inspired to write that song because at a point in my life, it wasn't easy, i encounter so many humiliation, and also lacked financial backup... So, that song is to encourage someone out there, not to give up, because, there's always a brighter side to every reality.“

What was the experience like when you were voicing your first track? Were you nervous?... And What was the title?
"OMG! The experience was something else, but It was all the same cool and enjoyable. Why? Because I was waiting for that particular day to come, since I have been preparing for it...
The title was 'Ifunaya'. The song is still a must hear, dropped in 2018."

What's your take on Abuja's Entertainment sector.... Do you think they have improved through the years?
"Abuja's entertainment sector is a growing one, and I can actually say we are growing rapidly.
Though we're not there yet, but I can say we are doing well. There's still room for more improvement".

Wanna give your fans a preview? ...What's the latest project you're working on? New single to expect?
"I'm working on a couple of singles, and they'll sure come out soon.
(smiling) well, just a preview, my latest music project that will come after 'Papa Nke Igwe' will be "IMELA". You should wait for it... Expect a great sound to uplift your soul".

Based on popular demand... Are we expecting an album from Obi Don Grow anytime soon?
"Yep! By the special grace of God, That's what I intends working on. But for now, I'll be putting out some singles to announce my style of music".
🎙Q:
What's your most challenging production ever? And what was the experience like?
(Smiles)
"Well, I'm yet to have a challenging production. But, "Papa Nke Igwe" gave me a bit a challenge, because I was bent on making a classic music project.
But, I'm grateful I had a great and understanding producer, JustPrince that made everything come through smoother then I thought...
I want to create songs that will not leave your Playlist for 10 years"

you're a budding name to reckon with in Abuja Entertainment... What is the industry actually lacking?
And what's the way forward?
"Seriously, in Abuja, there's a lot of creative talents in the city, but few opportunities for them to express themselves. So, one way forward for entertainment in the city is financial empowerment music and opportunities for talent expression..."
🎙Q: Finally, where do your see yourself musically in the next 2 years?
"I see myself at an unimaginable height musically. I also hope to get a record label managing my brand, and the top 2 on my list are: Dmw record label and 2night enter10ment..."

"My advice would be simple, encourage yourself, don't give up, stay true to your hustle, and believe in God for the best".
