Prior to my discussion with Someone, a line that kept banging was...
"Isaac... You see why church music ministers are leaving the church... Shey you see.. "

Well, before analyzing the content of those words, I'll love to give an illustration that might have prompted such statement..

SCENE ONE
A resident church music minister with so much dedication came somewhat late to a programme, and the following conversation ensued with his pastor...
.
5 MINS LATE (With genuine reasons)
.
🔵 CHURCH MUSIC MINISTER: (Sounding with remorse) "Pastor... Good Evening Sir, I'm so Sorry for..."
.
🔴 PASTOR: (Sounding aggressive without answering the greetings)
"This Is the time you're coming? Hunh..? My friend, go and lead praise and worship!!!"

😀😀😀... Make i pause laugh small.
"My friend, go and lead praise and worship!!!
As how nau? 😀... After you don spoil him mind finish, how the praise and worship wan take flow sef..? 😀 #PidginThings

SCENE TWO
A Guest gospel music minister who came late to a programme... And the following conversation ensued.

1 HOUR 45 MINS LATE (With reasons Though... Who knows if they're genuine or not)

🔵 GUEST MUSIC MINISTER: (Will not even greet sef, walking in as one 'gospel Don kingkong' 🙊#LemmeWashMyMouth)
.
🔴 PASTOR: (Rushing to where he/she has spotted a seating)
"Good Evening... How are you Doing?. We've been expecting you"
.
🔵 GUEST MUSIC MINISTER: (Will not even answer the greeting sef or give reason for his/her lateness...)
"Thank you pastor"
.
🔴 PASTOR: "Do you wanna minister now or we will give you more 20mins to get ready?"
.
🔵 GUEST MUSIC MINISTER: (With a non-smiling 'proposed holy-face')
"Give me more 35mins..."
.
🔴 PASTOR: (With a smiling face)
"Ok... We will"
.

Let me give an official notice here to Pastors, DON'T TREAT ME LIKE AN EMPEROR BECAUSE I'M A GUEST MUSIC MINISTER, WHILE YOU TREAT YOUR CHURCH BAND MEMBERS LIKE SERVANTS oooo!
You think God will be smiling at you?... And you're expecting the gospel band members of your church to connect in worship...?
.
Charity (love) begins at home... Learn to value your resident music ministers. THEY ARE FAMILIAR WINGS THAT TAKES YOU TO THE UNFAMILIAR PLACE OF WORSHIP.
A church that has an ignored resident music ministry will always slack in worship, no matter the nature of guest ministers you bring.
.
I noticed, that A CHURCH WITH AN IN-EFFECTIVE GOSPEL MUSIC BAND ALWAYS INVITE GUEST MUSIC MINISTERS DURING THEIR CONVENTIONS AND OTHER PROGRAMES.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying inviting music ministers as guests is a wrong idea(Because, i also go ministering in other places), BUT, ARE YOUR RESIDENT MINISTERS IGNORED DETRIMENTALLY?
What made them "IN-EFFECTIVE"?
Why not revive them as their spiritual leader?

One reality we need to come to terms with, is that: "A GUEST MUSIC MINISTER IS AN ADDITIONAL WORSHIP FORCE TO THE ALREADY EXISTING WORSHIP FORCE YOU HAVE THROUGH THE RESIDENT MUSIC MINISTRY."
.
Value What you have, strengthen the existing worship force, and you'll be surprised at the dimension with which the GUEST MUSIC MINISTERS WILL FUNCTION WELL, MORE THAN EXPECTED... AS LED BY GOD..
